I have been hunting for this retro matte lipstick ever since I tried Riri Woo, but as usual stocks were out and I kept waiting for a gọi from MAC store. My take on MAC Retro Matte Lipstick- All Fired Up:
I loved the Ri
Ri Woo from MAC và wanted lớn try out all the shades but because of the constant non-availability I lost hope of ever getting another. But then one day I could finally get my hands on it. All Fired Up is a part of the permanent collection unlike the Ri
Ri Woo and there are several gorgeous shades lớn try out.
I actually had two shades in mind when I went to lớn buy this, the other being Relentlessly Red but as soon as I swatched both on my hands I got clear which one I wanted. Relentlessly Red lipstick look very much similar lớn All Fired Up in the bullet, it’s hard to tell any difference, but as you see them together you will realize that there is a major difference in the undertones. All Fired Up is a bright fuchsia pink as described by MAC and I agree lớn that, whereas Relentlessly Red is more pink with coral & neon undertones which I don’t prefer personally but I have seen girls looking awesome in that shade as well.
The formula of Retro Matte, as we all know, can be very cruel và unforgiving on dry lips, so vì chưng make sure to prep the lips well before or they might look flaky and tacky. When I compare the texture with Ri
Ri Woo, this one is less dry & more on the creamy side…I am not sure why because if they are from the same collection they should have the same texture và feel naa? But I am not complaining as it feels more comfortable on lips *hihi*
Now coming khổng lồ the color payoff Oh my my!!!! I have no words as this deposits 80-90% pigment in single swipe và covers even the most pigmented lips. I had worn it for about 6-7 hours (including meals) without retouching. T fades with a tint which looks nice as well. I have used the Colorbar Berry Rose lip liner for lining the lips…yes you need one because it’s so pigmented that minor flaws of application look amplified *rofl* I can’t tell you how much I love the shade. This might be a good choice for those who hesitate wearing reds.

The much awaited MAC Retro Matte Collection is here. I was so waiting for MAC Relentlessely Red which is now in the permanent range but often shades like this go Out of Stock. Retro Matte range has a shade called All Fired Up which is very similar to lớn Relentlessely Red. I have both the shades are almost dupes of each other with All Fired Up having a slight more pink in it. Apart from these the other shades in this range are Dangerous, Flat Out Fabulous, Runway Hit & Steady Going. I remember the first time I saw the photos on the MAC website, I was jumping literally. My hubby knows that this kind of behavior means I want something really badly! One day I got a call from MAC manager to say that the Retro Matte Collection is launched here..for a second I could not believe what she just said và I was telling her “pardon plz” again và again..dumb! It was literally a riot at the MAC store, with only limited lipsticks and ‘N’ number of ladies fighting for them..yes! That was the scenario actually. The launch happened pretty early in Kolkata, actual date of launch in other cities is 24th October 2013, so ladies vày rush, if possible pre book it!
I wanted 3 shades from the collection and all went OOS within 4 hours of the launch, but the MAC Manager is so good & actually know me very well that she kept aside one piece for me. It feel so awesome to lớn grab the last piece in front of the girls who were literally fighting! Though
MAC Retro Matte LipstickThe finish is Retro Matte, you must be aware of the fact that Retro Matte Finish is very drying, lượt thích the famous Ruby Woo lipstick. But I was totally surprised that this isn’t dry matte, I found the finish rather very comfortable. The texture of this lipstick is a little dry, requires firm pressure lớn apply on lips unlike Ruby woo which you to lớn rub like rubber on your lips.
As it is a matte lipstick, I would still suggest exfoliating và moisturizing your lips well before as at the kết thúc of day I see slight flakiness on the lips, lượt thích dry bits on lips. My lips are extremely dry by nature.
The staying nguồn is beyond your imagination, it lasted the entire day. I wore it at 8:30 in the morning and came back trang chủ at 9 pm. The color wears off after 6-7 hour but a lovely deep tint leaves behind & that remain intact until you remove it. It does stain the lips so I would recommend using baby oil lớn remove & yes it transfers too.

Do I Recommend: Mac Relentlessly Red from the Retro Matte Collection was a love at first sight to lớn me. This is an extremely beautiful pinkish red shade and I would ask you to lớn grab it asap. This shade can make anyone look beautiful. I can see my mommie rocking this shade at 50’s so this is shade is everyone!
